1Weave didn’t start with a business plan. It began on a market day in the heart of Mexico.
A Journey Through Jalisco
My work often brought me to Guadalajara Mexico. I quickly grew to love its artisan markets, filled with color, food, and handmade goods ranging from glass to carved furniture.
The Discovery
In the middle of these markets, I found handwoven bags, crafted from recycled plastic displayed among pottery and textiles.
Their strength and simplicity stood out. I started buying them as gifts for friends and family, each one a reminder of my time in Mexico.
More Than Souvenirs
The response was always the same: “Where did you find this?” People loved the quality, the weave, and the practicality of recycled funtionality.
We soon realized these bags were more than souvenirs. They were a smart mix of style and function, and a tradition worth sharing beyond the markets of Mexico.
